VeryHum is operated from Germany and currently focuses its services on the United States and Canadian market. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA), Canadian privacy requirements where applicable, and other applicable data-protection laws. We do not sell your personal data. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, the legal bases we rely on, who we share it with, and the rights you have.
This Policy applies to Reviewers, Brands, website visitors, and other users of the VeryHum platform and website (the "Platform").
1. Who is responsible for your data (Controller)
The controller of your personal data is Emir Ramic, trading as VeryHum ("VeryHum", "we", "us", or "our").
VeryHum is operated from Germany and currently focuses its services on the United States and Canadian market.

We do not publish a home address, private tax number, or bank details in this Privacy Policy. Billing details, where legally required, are provided on invoices or through direct business communication.
2. What personal data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password, role (Reviewer or Brand), profile details, username, profile image.
- Verification data: information confirming you received/used a product (e.g. order, shipment, or redemption codes).
- Reviews and content: the Reviews, ratings, and other content you submit, and metadata about them.
- Brand/business data: company name, billing and tax details, contact persons.
- Payment data: processed by our payment providers; we generally do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, and similar analytics data.
- Communications: messages you send us and support correspondence.
We collect data you provide directly, data generated by your use of the Platform, and limited data from service providers (e.g. payment or verification partners).
3. Why we use your data and our legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance them against your rights; you may object (see Section 8).
4. Who we share your data with
- Brands — limited Reviewer data needed for a campaign (e.g. to ship a product or verify use). Brands are contractually restricted from misusing it and from selling it.
- Service providers (processors) — hosting, payment processing, analytics, email, verification, and support, bound by data-processing agreements.
- Public visibility — your username, profile image, Review, and rating may be publicly visible.
- Legal and safety — authorities or advisors where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- Corporate transactions — a successor entity in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioural advertising within the meaning of the CCPA/CPRA.
5. International transfers
Where we transfer personal data outside the EEA/UK, we use an appropriate safeguard such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where relevant) or transfers to adequate countries.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet legal obligations (e.g. tax/accounting retention). Published Reviews may be retained for as long as they remain relevant to the Platform, subject to your erasure rights below and applicable law.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and will notify affected users and regulators of qualifying breaches as required by law.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to: access your data; rectify inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or with the competent German data-protection authority.

9. Your rights under the CCPA/CPRA (California residents)
You have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access and delete your personal information; correct inaccurate information; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (note: we do not sell or share personal information); and limit the use of sensitive personal information. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may use an authorised agent. Submit requests to hello@veryhum.com; we will verify your identity before responding.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Platform and, with your consent where required, analytics and preference cookies. You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or cookie settings where available.
11. Children
The Platform is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact hello@veryhum.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified (e.g. by email or in-Platform notice), and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
